NPP Grassroots Threaten To Disrupt Party’s Conference In Kumasi Over Claims Of Neglect – Nana Obiri Boahen Worried

The Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen has expressed worry after some grassroots NPP supporters in the Ashanti Region threatened to disrupt the Party’s impending delegates Conference in Kumasi.

Nana Obiri Boahen revealed that the agitated grassroots supporters, mostly youth, stormed the Party’s Regional Secretariat and threatened to ensure that the conference planned for 17th-19th December 2021 does not materialize.

According to Mr. Obiri Boahen, these agitated supporters claim they have been neglected by the Party leadership after toiling to ensure the Party retained Power.

Mr. Obiri Boahen, who says he was called to intervene, claims he was able to de-escalate the tension by speaking to the agitated supporters with respect.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if these disgruntled supporters intend to carry out their threat of making sure the delegates Conference does not materialize.
