Alleged Uprising Case: Captain Smart Granted GHS100,000 Bail After Pleading Not Guilty

Onua FM Morning Show host, Captain Smart has been granted bail by the Accra Circuit Court 7 in the matter in which he stands accused of calling for an uprising against the State on Live Radio/TV.

Captain Smart was arrested last week after the Police reviewed a footage from one of his shows in which he is alleged to have called for an uprising against the State over what he terms as gargantuan corruption and mismanagement by government.

In an update shared by the Police, Captain Smart was given a GHS100,000 bail with one surety to be justified.

The outspoken journalist is also to report to the Police every Tuesday and Friday.

Meanwhile the case has been adjourned to January 11, 2022.
