Breaking News: Adwoa Safo Earns Narrow Victory At Dome Kwabenya



Incumbent MP, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has retained her seat in a narrow victory at Dome Kwabenya Constituency.

The current Minister of Procument marginally won the keenly contested primaries with a difference of 8 votes to edge out her opponent Mike Oquaye Jnr.

Sarah Adwoa Safo amassed 496 votes against 488 from Mike Oqauye Jnr. earning her a second bid at being re-elected as the MP for Dome Kwabenya Constituency come December 2020 in the general elections.

2020 Election Is A Ghanaian Election, Not A West African Election – Akuffo-Addo Warns ‘Foreigners’ And Their Helpers



The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has sent a strong word of caution to foreigners and their local collaborators to desist from any attempts to partake in the 2020 general election.

Addressing the nation on the Electoral Commission’s impending registration exercise, the President stated in very categorical terms that the 2020 election is a Ghanaian election and not a west African election.

He insisted that only eligible Ghanaians will be allowed to register and vote in the upcoming election, saying that no form of illegal machinations from any individual or group of persons will be tolerated.

Covid-19- Ghana’s case count Takes a sudden hike to 17,351



The Total confirmed Coronavirus cases in Ghana now stands at 17,351.

This was announced by the President Akufo-Addo in his 13th Address to the nation this evening, 28th June, 2020 on measures taken against the spread of the Coronavirus.

However, he cautioned the public not to be scared, should they test positive for the virus. “there should be no fear if diagnosed with the virus so if you show symptoms kindly report to the hospital”.

The President concluded that, “Our survival and I repeat is in our own hands”

Breaking News: President Akuffo-Addo Extends Tax Exemptions For Frontline Workers By Another 3 Months



The President of The Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has today announced the extension of tax exemptions for frontline health workers by another 3 months.

The incentives was first instituted in the month of April as part of measures to motivate frontline personnel in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The President has also announced the continuous payment of 50% of the basic salaries of all the said frontline personnel, in addition to their salaries also for the next three months.
