What Was The Basis Of All The Street Protests, Burning Of Tyres, And Loss Of Lives – Koku Anyidoho Asks NDC

Former deputy general secretary of the NDC, Samuel Koku Anyidoho has questioned the rationale behind the sporadic incidents of organized protests and burning of tyres that hit the country following the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as the winner of the 2020 elections.

The NDC, following the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as president-elect on 9th December 2020, organized series of demonstrations across the country, claiming that they had won the election and the EC had stolen the verdict.

However, presenting their case in court, the NDC made no mention of their claim of winning the election, their argument in court is that the EC chairperson was inconsistent in her declaration of results.

Following Mr Asiedu Nketiah’s cross-examination yesterday in which he admitted that his party has no collated figures of their own that are contrary to that declared by the EC, Koku Anyidoho has questioned the basis for all the demonstrations the party embarked on.

In a post on Twitter, Anyidoho wrote, “So, what was the basis for all the, street protests, burning of tyres, destruction of public properties, & the loss of lives?”
