A combined youth group made up of youth from Nungua and La in the Greater Accra Region have sent a word of caution to the Member of Parliament for Assin North to stay away from their lands.

The group led by one Nii Okpoti Tatse is alleging that the MP is using his position as a member of the current New Patriotic Party’ government with state protection to forcefully claim some Ga lands which do not belong to him lawfully.

They explained the said land situated at East Legon, under-bridge,near East Legon police station
is a boundary area between La and Nungua of which both have separate judgements from the law court.

It is alleged that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong himself on Saturday 18th July 2020 went to the site with four military and police patrol team members with some macho men and bulldozers to demolish all construction works done on the piece of land.

Even though the issue has been taken to court, the youth together with priests and priestesses are warning the Assin Central MP to stay away from their land which they claim belongs to the Ga Dangbe descendants and not him Kennedy Agyepong.

The youth of La and Nungua are hereby calling on the speaker of parliament and the president of the Republic of Ghana to intervene and ensure that Kennedy Agyapong is brought before the law to avoid any unwanted confusion.
