Socialite and self-acclaimed Mental Health advocate, Abena Korkor Addo has admitted to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service that her allegations on social media that the Director-General of the NLA, Mr. Sammi Awuku had contracted others to kill her was made without concrete evidence and that it was mere hearsay.

The socialite, in a series of live videos on Instagram, had alleged plainly that she was tipped off by Kojo Yankson of Joy FM that Mr. Sammi Awuku had ordered her death for her persistent attacks on him.

Mr. Awuku, due to the seriousness of the allegations, petitioned the CID of the Ghana Police Service to investigate Miss Korkor’s claims especially in the wake of the several unresolved murder cases in the country.

Abena Korkor, after an invitation was extended to her by the Cybercrime Unit of the CID Headquarters, posted the whatsapp conversation on social media, in clear breach of the data protection act, in order to court public sympathy.

After grilling by the Police, Miss Korkor finally admitted that her claims of contract killing against Mr. Awuku were purely made on hearsay and not concrete evidence.

She named Mr. Kojo Yankson of Joy FM as the person who gave her the so-called tip-off.

Mr. Yankson, this portal has learned has been invited by the Police as a person of interest to answer to his involvement in the matter.

Meanwhile, Miss Korkor was once again unable to produce any evidence of conversation with Kojo Yankson which could vindicate her position that the journalist indeed gave her any such tip-off.
