Election Petition: Mahama’s Goal Is To Completely Destroy Jean Mensah’s Credibility – MP

Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru, Kennedy Nyarko Osei has insisted that the petitioner (John Dramani Mahama’s) only goal in the ongoing election petition is to put a dent on the credibility of the EC Chair, Jean Mensah and not a re-run as has been made to believe.

His comment comes after lawyers of the petitioner filed to subpoena Madam Jean Mensah to be cross-examined after the Supreme Court in its last hearing indicated that they cannot force the 1st respondent to testify.

According to him the methods used by the legal counsel of the petitioner clearly indicates that they’re not fighting for a re-run but seek to put a dent on the credibility of Jean Mensah.

“It’s now crystal clear that the intent of the petitioner going to court to challenge the 2020 elections was not to claim any victory for December 7th, 2020 elections but rather to dent the image and rip off the credibility of Mrs. Jean Mensah led EC. That’s exactly what the petitioner and his lawyers seeks to do with the ongoing Election Petition. That’s my general observations so far based on the methods of litigation by the petitioner’s Lawyers”, Mr Osei wrote on social media.
