You Did Worse Under Mills, Mahama – Allotey Jacobs Blasts NDC On Eugene Arhin ‘Nonsense’
Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Bernard Allotey Jacobs has slammed members of his party who have been criticising embattled Communication Director at Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin over allegations he has acquired innumerable properties in a span of four years.
Eugene Arhin has faced massive criticism after his wife filed for divorce demanding that the court give her 50% of her husband’s properties.
The properties include a five-bedroom residential property (which was intended to be the matrimonial home of the parties) situate on a two plot of land lying at East Legon in Accra; a four-storey building comprising 16 separate flats/apartments situated on a parcel of land at Bubiashie in Accra which land was acquired from a family friend of Petitioner. AAn ongoing storey building comprising of 16 separate flats/apartments situate at Tuba-Weija in Accra.
These are but just three of the over twenty properties being sought after by the wife as part of the divorce.
Many Ghanaians including the opposition and NDC have questioned the legitimacy of these properties wondering how Eugene acquired all these in a span of four years.
Defending Eugene, Allotey Jacobs noted that persons in the NDC did worse while in power under late president John Atta Mills and former president John Dramani Mahama.
He wrote: “WHO ARE THOSE TALKING ABOUT EUGENE ARHIN AND WHAT HE HAS MADE WITHIN FOUR YEARS OF NANA AKUFFO ADDO’ S ADMINISTRATION. ATTACKING EUGENE IS ABSOLUTE NONSENSE WHEN YOU HAVE MORE AND WORSE PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY DURING THE PERIOD OF PROF MILLS AND JOHN MAHAMA NOT TO FORGET ABOUT PRESIDENT RAWLINGS. I APPEAL TO GHANAIANS TO IGNORE THIS NONSENSE. EUGENE ARHIN YOU HAVE MADE IT IN LIFE. THE PEOPLE OF KROMANTSE APPRECIATE WHAT YOU DO FOR THEM RIDE ON MY BROTHER”
