Dr Kwaku Oteng Takes On Captain Smart After He Claimed He Succumbed to Pressure From GRA To Suspend Him

Business mogul and founder of the Angel Broadcasting Network, Dr Kwaku Oteng has refuted claims that he was forced by the Ghana Revenue Authority to suspend his former employee, Captain Smart.

Captain Smart, who was suspended, and subsequently resigned from Angel FM, said his boss, Dr Oteng called him to tone down on his attacks on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him his boss said he was under pressure from the GRA and higher persons within government to take him off air.

Reacting to these claims after receiving the ‘2020 Best Excise Taxpayer in Ashanti Region’ award from the GRA, Dr. Kwaku Oteng described them as ‘sheer ignorance’.

“All those are allegations borne out of sheer ignorance; how can I be running such a big business and fail to pay taxes and expect that the Ghana Revenue Authority would not come after me. I have been paying taxes to the government of Ghana for the past 30 years, so it is ridiculous for anybody to say that I have not been paying my taxes”, angelonline.com.gh owned by the business mogul quotes him to have said.
