Attack On Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu Sadden Us- Ashanti MPs

Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, Patricia Appiagyei has disclosed that the Ashanti Regional legislators were awful about the attack on the Suame MP, Kyei Mensah-Bonsu by his constituents.

On July 19, 2022, some angry Suame residents attacked their MP, Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu over a delay in road construction.

A police intervention rescued Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu from the attack.

Speaking in a one-on-one interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV, Sompahemaa as she is fondly called said the attack showed that the residents are not pleased with the efforts the MPs are putting up for the development of the Region.

She revealed that the MPs were preparing adequately for the construction of the Suame interchange and the ‘sad’ incident occurred.

Sompahemaa said the Suame Constituency has chalked a massive facelift under Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.

She stressed that “the timing of the construction of the Suame interchange is very right.”
