Prof Ransford Gyampo, lecturer at the University of Ghana has stated that politicians in Ghana will know no peace until they reconsider the discrimination of article 71 of the 1992 constitution that gives better conditions to a select few while the rest wallow in poverty.

According to him, the hardwork of teachers in the country must be recognised and they’ll continue demand for it.

“The politicians know themselves that the article 71 makes them unpopular. They will not know peace so long as that discrimination persists. They [politicians] look good and turn around to tell us [teachers] to tighten our belts whilst they are eating to get potbellies,” he said.
