Executive Director of Media Foundation for West AfricaMFWA, Sulemana Braimah has said Ghanaians will remain opposed to the controversial e-levy no matter the number of meetings government holds.

In a bid to court public support and acceptance for the bill, the government is embarking on a series of sensitization efforts, including hosting town hall meetings across the country.

Reacting to these meetings on social media, the MFWA boss said the government can move from townhall to village meetings Ghanaians will still oppose the e-levy.

He believes it would have been appreciated better if the Akufo-Addo led government had provided a selfless and accountable leadership.

“On E-LEVY, the gov’t can proceed from Town Hall Meetings to Village Hall Meetings, the masses will still opposed it. The masses cannot be deceived forever. If they had experienced better, selfless and accountable leadership in the last 5 yrs, they will agree to pay even if 10%,” Sulemana tweeted.
