We Did Not Harass Abena Mankosah, She Was Using The Pupils To Mislead The Public – DCE Explains

The DCE for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Rebecca Yeboah has explained that her outfit and the Ghana Education Service (GES) did not harass Abena Serwah Mankosah, the female teacher who made headlines for feeding her pupils out of her own pocket.

Abena Mankosah caught the attention of social media when her story made it all the way to the BBC.

However, as Ghanaians shared the story and praised the young female teacher for her kindness, reports emerged later last week that the GES had instructed her to come to the office today with her documents, apparently to be sanctioned for what they claim is misconduct.

Apparently, the GES deems it a misconduct to take photographs of pupils; even though politicians have been doing this since time immemorial after handing out few exercise books and other stuff.

Some even claimed that the teacher was been harassed because of her affiliation to the NDC.

Abena Mankosah, after her encounter at the office, came to claim that she had been harassed at the office by officials of the GES and the DCE.

However, speaking to Kumasi-based Angel FM, the DCE, Madam Rebecca Yeboah flatly denied the allegation of harassment.

According to Madam Yeboah, Abena Mankosah was being inconsistent with her explanations, and was also deliberately using the pupils to scam the public.
