W/R: EC Pilot Testing Called Off as Machine Breakdown.

Reports reaching GhanaFeed indicate that the Electoral Commission (EC) has temporarily called off its pilot testing in the Western Region, Takoradi due to a breakdown of its machines.

The EC in its preparation towards the 2020 December polls begun a pilot testing yesterday June 2. However, reports on Accra (100.5) FM suggested the machine failed to power on this morning and has led to a halt of the program as efforts are being made to fix it.

According to reports the machine being used by the EC to conduct the pilot test refused to power on after several attempts by officials.

Information gathered by GhanaFeed.com indicates that, the Electoral Commission of Ghana is set to deploy registration officials to various Senior High Schools in the country.

According to the Electoral Commission, the deployment would commence on Friday, July 10-11.

This was revealed at a just ended emergency IPAC meeting.

GhanaFeed.com understands that, this exercise is aimed at reducing the rate at which some Politicians are busing students to registration centers amidst the hike of Covid-19.

Breaking News: Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah Currently Under 14-Day Isolation

The Chief Justice of The Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Kwesi Anin Yeboah, has on the advice of his doctors gone into a mandatory 14-day isolation in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.

In a communique signed by the Judicial Secretary, Cynthia Pamela Addo, she said, “His Lordship will be working from the Chief Justice’s official residence at Cantonment.”

Earlier, the Supreme Court had adjourned sitting for all cases scheduled for hearing this week over fears of the coronavirus disease.
