The Arrest Of Nana Agradaa And Matters Arising (Opinion Post)

Every society is governed by laws, regulations, and acceptable norms. The conduct of every citizen should therefore, fall within the parameters accepted by all.

Unfortunately, we have allowed certain media houses to display with impunity, so-called fetishism on our media platforms, despite the fact that even children also have access to these platforms. All kind of charlatans appear on these media platforms promising to give charms or double money for people.

Even Benin or India, where most of these so-called spiritual powers are drawn from don’t allow such open media display by these charlatans.

Why have we allowed them from Aflao to Bawku, from Hamile to Elubo to openly practice their money doubling tricks with gullible journalists even going to interview them?

If Ghana Police Service, EOCO, Bank of Ghana, and National Security, with all the authority of the state behind them cannot stop these unproductive acts then we are a failed state.

Dear IGP, within an hour of flipping through the channels in Ghana, you will conclude that Ghana has no hope because all what these charlatans are doing does not support creativity or innovation.

If indeed, anybody can charm money, he or she should be arrested because there is no law or regulations that support spiritual multiplication of money.

The cases in Kasoa and winneba and those yet to be uncovered are clear examples of the effects of these uncultured practices.

Its time to take decisive action to end this menace once and for all.

And if there is indeed any individual with the power to charm or multiply money, i throw them a challenge to send some my way.
