Stop The Hypocrisy…Educate The Masses On E-Levy- Wontumi Tells IMANI
The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako is challenging Franklin Cudjoe to stop being a hypocrite when discussing issues relating to the economy of Ghana.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popular referred to as Chairman Wontumi stated that rather than invite people to listen to “lies” at the Reform Dialogue Series (RDS) which is to be held by IMANI Centre for Policy and Education and GIZ Ghana, they should rather concentrate on educating the masses on the benefits of E-levy.
Chairman Wontumi explained that E-levy was the way for the Government of Ghana to go considering that if government decides to seek loans from the international community, there would interests added that would slow our developmental pace.
For this reason, he added that it will rather right for President Akufo-Addo’s government to apply practically ways to generate funds internally by using the E-Levy policy.
IMANI Centre for Policy and Education and GIZ Ghana has sent out an invite for their RDS to examine the case for crafting a balanced and sound macroeconomic framework capable of enhancing growth and development through investment.
But Chairman Wontumi claims RDS is a wrong forum to join when one wants to learn about sound macroeconomic framework capable of enhancing growth and development through investment.
