People Are Planning How To Go To Mars, We’re Here Wasting Time On Hair – Adutwum On Achimota Dreadlocks Issue
Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Education Minister has declined to comment on the ongoing brouhaha surrounding the refusal of Achimota SHS to admit a Rastafarian student.
According to the school, the student’s dreadlocks goes against the school rules and until he cuts them off he cannot be enrolled.
TV3’s Parliamentary Correspondent, Komla Kluste reported on Wednesday, March 24 that, “So, I approached the Minister of Education yesterday for his opinion on the Achimota Rastafarian matter, he declined an interview saying that ‘when people are busy researching how to go to Mars, we are wasting precious time on hair discussion.”
“He won’t talk about this but STEM education,” Komla further reported.
