NPP’s Sammi Awuku Says He Has Tested 8 Times For COVID-19

The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Sammi Awuku has revealed rather shockingly that he has tested as many as 8 times for COVID-19 after some very close persons in his circle, including his driver tested positive for the virus.

The dynamic young politician who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwame Adinkrah on Kumasi-based Pure FM disclosed that he has chosen hope over fear although all his nine tests have so far come out negative.

Mr. Awuku sent out a word of advice to Ghanaians to stop stigmatization, saying it is dangerous because it can cause positive persons to hide their status and go about infecting several others.

Ghana has so far recorded a total of 25,252 coronavirus cases with 21,397 recoveries and 3,176 active cases. The death toll remains at 139 while the Greater Accra Region leads with the highest number of infections with 13,869 followed by the Ashanti Region with 5,277, Western Region – 2,189 and Central Region – 1,110.
