The independent aspirant, Marricke Kofi Gane has issued a release in reaction to the EC’s decision to oust him in the upcoming 2020 presidential elections.

According to the disappointed independent candidate, Mr. Gane, he filed his nomination on October 8th, 2020 which was within the stipulated time frame work required by the Electoral Commission.

He referenced to the EC’s guideline in a meeting with the political parties which gave them assurance to call them to rectify anomalies in the filing of their forms.

“Per the rules and guidelines of the EC, and reiterated at the October 2nd, 2020 meeting, it was communicated that aspirants would be contacted immediately following any discrepancies concerning their filing in time to allow them time to correct any anomalies.

However, Mr.Gane expressed that per the EC’s rules and guidelines, they [EC] failed to contact them pertaining to the discrepancies sighted by the EC in their forms for them to have corrected it.

“Unfortunately, neither Mr. Gane nor any member of the Gane4Ghana team was contacted since October 8th, 2020 to inform us of any alleged forgery as has been put forth by the EC on October 19th, 2020,”.

Mr. Game went on to assure members rallying behind his candidature to remain calm as they explore all options available to resolve the matter.
