I Paid My Own Mother-in-law Just For Taking Care Of Her Own Grandchildren – Ras Mubarak Reacts To Ex-wife’s Allegations

Former NDC MP for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, has in a lengthy write-up on Facebook, responded to the barrage of allegations levelled against him by his ex-wife, Rasheeda Adams.

In the write-up which reacts to a series of allegations including physical abuse, the former legislator also denied allegations of financial abuse, insisting that he even paid his wife’s mother just for taking care of her own grandchildren.

He wrote in part, “With three months to election when she delivered our second baby in a private hospital, instead of Ridge where I had made arrangements with some doctor friends for all the medical help she needed, she went ahead and checked into a private hospital. I suspended the campaigning for three weeks, got to Accra and spent time by her side in the hospital. And was at the theater for her Caesarian. Yet she would come on social media ranting as if she’d been abandoned”.

Besides, the point about having her mother move in with us in Accra and paying her for babysitting, plus domestic house help, was so I could work a little, spend time with family a little and campaigned a little”.
