I Never Thought I Would Live To See This Day – Manasseh Azure Extols Ghana Police For Swift Interdiction Of Officers Who ‘Mercilessly’ Flogged Tamale Residents Over Illegal Connection

The Ghana Police Service have interdicted four of its officers who flogged some residents of Tamale for stealing electricity through illegal connection.

In a statement. the police said the officers will face a Service Inquiry while noting that processes are already in place to identify the victims and take care of their medical expenses.

A viral video online saw some police officers who accompanied VRA/NEDCO officials to arrest persons tapping electricity illegality brutally flog the alleged culprits.

The quick reaction by the police administration has earned them praise with investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni leading the line.

He wrote on Facebook, “Some of us didn’t know we’d live to see this day. Leadership is, indeed, everything.”
