I Didn’t Give Macho Men Accreditation For Regional Election- Ashanti Regional Minister

Macho men were not part of delegates, accredited to participate in electing regional executives for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah, has disclosed.

However, the Ashanti regional minister bemoaned that macho men still made their way to the election grounds due some acute security lapses that occurred because the venue for the election, was changed from Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

Speaking on Wontumi TV, the Ashanti Regional Minister disclosed that he had anticipated the presence of macho men at the election grounds and to avert it, he settled on RCC as the venue for the event because it is a well secured place.

“Some people insulted me for suggesting RCC as the venue. When we moved the elections to stadium, it paved way for macho men to enter the venue. I personally didn’t want macho men to be at the election grounds. I saw it coming that is why I suggested RCC”, he recounted.
