I Am Not Stupid Or A Coward, Face Me If You’re A Man – Amidu Replies Mahama
The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has slammed NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for tagging him a coward amid the controversial Airbus Scandal.
Mr. Amidu in a statement chided the former President for not having understanding in security issues.
He noted, “The long public service of the Special Prosecutor spanning various aspects of security and intelligence from the period of 1982 to 7th January 2001 and July 2009 to January 2012 makes him more experienced in determining when it is not conducive to the national security interest to foolhardily take certain law and order actions. The Special Prosecutor owes that exercise of discretion to his vast experience over the years, his responsibility to maintain national stability and his conscience as a patriotic anti-corruption crusading Ghanaian. There is no question of stupidity or cowardice about it.”
“Any person aspiring to be President of Ghana for a second term who does not know that a cardinal principle in security and intelligence is that “caution is the better part of valour” was not and is not worth the vote,” the statement added.
The Special Prosecutor further challenged Mr. Mahama to submit himself to be interrogated over the case.
“Your Excellency, the wise and the brave former President John Dramani Mahama, man-up, wise-up, and be brave enough to come with two lawyers of your own choice to be cautioned and interrogated by this Office to demonstrate your valour and wisdom as not being elected Government Official 1 and also as not being the first guarantor to Samuel Adam Mahama’s passport application.”

Election Petition: Withdraw Your Case, Supreme Court Won’t Give You Justice – NDC’s Dzifa Gunu Urges Mahama
National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist, Dzifa Gunu has advised the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to withdraw his 2020 election petition before the Supreme Court because he’ll not get the justice he needs.
In a post on Facebook after the court adjourned its hearing to January 26, Dzifa called on the former president to withdraw the case rather than following through to the end only to be denied justice.
According to him the worst the court can do after Mahama withdraws is to find him and the party members will contribute and pay that fine.
“Dear H.E. John Dramani MahamaThey will not give you justice, please withdraw the case, the worst they will do is fine you and we will contribute and pay”, he wrote.

Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied – Akufo-Addo Lawyer Counters Tsikata
One of the lawyers of President Akufo-Addo in the ongoing election petition hearing has brushed aside claims by lead counsel for the petitioners in the Election Petition, Tsatsu Tsikata that the Supreme court should not sacrifice justice for expedition.
In his response to Mr Tsikata, he noted that justice delayed is justice denied.
Tsikata, had told the Supreme Court that much as the court may want to stick to the timelines specified in C.I 99 for the adjudication of election petitions, it should not be done in disregard of justice.
However, addressing the media after proceedings, Mr Frank Davies said “What is meant by sacrificing justice on the altar of expedition?
“Justice delayed is justice denied. So what is it? They are just not ready. They were advocating for a live broadcast of proceedings and now everybody is seeing what is happening in court. Everyday lead counsel for the petitioners is making one complaint or the other.
“You cannot blame the failure of a bad farm on your tools of implementation. Your farm is your farm and it depends on how you cultivate it so we should not ponder over this repeated rhetoric of sacrificing justice for expedition.”
