Finally, Kennedy Agyapong Meets His ‘Meeter’

I thought Members of Parliament were so busy it explains their regular inability to meet up with needy constituents until the Assin Central Member of Parliament came into the picture.

This member of parliament is much around in all of the news you could think of, sometimes I feel he could be a better reality show host than a political figure albeit, he is one of the most assertive political figures I know, which by the way is also another good quality for most successful politicians.

Ibrah One, an alleged millionaire, has been throwing jabs and accusations that the Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is no better than ‘Angel’ Obinim whom the honourable claims to be into money laundering and as such swore to expose.

Money laundering is a crime in Ghana.

What caught our attention is the latest post on Snapchat by the bold Ibrah One which reads… “Ken!!! My gate is going to remain open just like this for 2 solid days. I did this just to show you how messy I am! On the 3rd day, u pple will start to die, even that ur stupid short president will be part of corpse!”

Ibrah One actually got guts. We are waiting to hear from our honourable and hoping he understands how Ibrah One described himself in his snap, messy.

Ghanaians Must Respect and Applaud Carlos Ahenkorah Instead of Calling for Prosecution – Ursula Ekuful

Minister of Communications and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West Constituency Ursula Owusu Ekuful has stated that fellow MP Carlos Ahenkorah flouted no rules that deserves prosecution.

According to her Mr Ahenkorah should be respected and applauded for rather resigning.

The immediate former Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry visited some registration centres in his constituency whilst positive for the Coronavirus.

This action by Carlos Ahenkorah sparked a nationwide outrage and condemnation from colleagues and opposition alike.

However, Mrs Ekuful is of the view that Carlos had done an honourable thing by resigning and therefore deserves to be applauded.

“We must respect and applaud him, she said. Noting that it is very rare for people to acknowledge their mistakes and resign.

Speaking on his prosecution, Mrs Ekuful said the Tema West MP had flouted no rules.

I Have The Stamina to Endure Protracted Litigation – Kweku Baako Replies Ken Agyapong’s Lawyer

Managing Editor of The New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has noted that he has the endurance for a protracted litigation with Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

Lawyer for Mr Agyapong, Ralph Agyapong had disclosed in an interview Net2 TV that the Assin Central Member of Parliament is ready to appeal the defamation case to the highest level.

“If there is a judgement, after one week the judgement ceases. So after one week if you have any processes you can go ahead with it. As I speak to you, that Judgement will be a subject of appeal from Monday because as I speak, the notice of appeal is ready. So If it becomes subject of appeal, there’s a process called a stay of execution pending an appeal.

Responding to this, Malik Kweku Baako stated in a post that he is unbothered and ready to face Mr Agyapong in court no matter how long it takes for justice to prevail.

“This is the judgment that would be a subject of appeal as indicated by Mr Kennedy Agyapong’s lawyer, Mr. Ralph Agyapong. Appeal is an option guaranteed by law. And must be respected by all. I have the requisite stamina to endure a protracted litigation. It doesn’t matter how long it takes the courts to make a final determination, judgment day shall come. And INTEGRITY shall triumph over UGLY NOISES and MALICIOUS ALLEGATIONS ! TRUST ME!!!,” the post read.

An Accra high court had found Kennedy Agyapong guilty of defamation against Mr Baako and ordered him to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame the veteran journalist within 30 days.

In addition, he’s supposed to pay a fine of GHS100,000 in damages plus cost of GHS30,000.
