Bawumia Elected Flagbearer Of NPP As Ken Agyapong Pledges Support

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerged victorious as the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 General Elections. The results were declared today following a highly anticipated and closely-watched election.

In a gracious display of sportsmanship, Kennedy Agyapong, who secured the second position, addressed the gathered supporters at a post-election rally in Accra. He expressed his wholehearted acceptance of the election results and praised the Election Committee for conducting a fair and transparent process.

“I must admit the election was fair, and I accept the results,” Mr. Agyapong declared during his acceptance speech. He also pledged to collaborate with Dr. Bawumia, the newly elected flagbearer, in an effort to secure victory for the NPP in the upcoming 2024 General Elections.

The official results revealed that Dr. Bawumia secured a commanding lead with 61.43% of the total valid votes cast, while Kennedy Agyapong came second with 37.41%. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto claimed the third position with 0.76% of the votes, and Francis Addai Nimoh received the least support with 0.41%.

In a subsequent announcement, the Electoral Commission officially declared Dr. Bawumia as the NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2024 General Elections. The NPP supporters and the nation at large now eagerly await the exciting political developments leading up to the crucial electoral contest next year.
