Fear And Panic Grips Ghanaians As National Security Arrests Islamic Cleric, Students With Terrorist Links

The National Security, acting upon intelligence, have picked up over 30 persons believed to be having links to terrorist organizations.

The said individuals, incuding an Islamic cleric, were arrested in the Savelugu Municipality of the Northern Region.

According to a Joy News Report, as of yesterday (September 8), 27 persons have been granted bail while the remaining, including the Islamic cleric remain in National Security custody.

Apparently, the detained individuals are said to be in possession of some materials that links them to terrorist organizations in Burkina Faso and Mali.
