Election 2020: EC Makes Shocking Announcement As Voting Begins In A Few Hours

The Electoral Commission (EC) has in a bizarre announcement revealed that some voters will only vote in the presidential elections and not the parliamentary.

This directive is to the people of the Guan District in the Beum Consistuency.

In a statement, the commission noted that due to the “creation of the Guan District Local Government (Guan District Assembly) (Establishment) Instrument, 2020 and the pending creation of the Guan Consistuency, eligible voters in the Guan District will vote only in the Presidential Election but not in the Parliamentary Election in the Beum Consistuency”.

The EC is therefore encouraging all voters and constituents in the area to abide by the directive.
