Breaking News: First Lady, Second Lady Reportedly Rejects Akufo-Addo’s Salary Offer

This portal has picked up reports from the seat of the presidency that the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo and the second lady, Samira Bawumia have rejected their proposed salary offers.

This comes on the back of the massive outcry of the citizenry following the announcement of the decision last week.

The President, acting upon the recommendations of the Ntiamoah-Baidu committee had decided to formalise the payment of salaries and emoluments to the first and second lady.

However, the decision attracted massive public condemnation prompting a series of court actions.

Sources close to the Presidency have disclosed to this portal that the first and second ladies have decided to reject this proposal as a result of the public outcry.
