Award Us With V8s Too; Enough of the Tricycles – Best Farmer Pleads With Gov’t

Samuel Edmondson Appiah, best farmer for Obuasi East District in the Ashanti region has pleaded with the government to consider awarding farmers with the luxurious V8 vehicles they also drive.

Mr Appiah believes such an award will motivate many young people to venture into farming, especially when the country is battling high youth unemployment.

He said the V8s government auction can rather be awarded to best farmers across the country, instead of the usual tricycles they receive every year.

He also pleaded that the government will create a ready market that will be ready to consume harvested goods of farmers.
