Asutifi South MP, Collins Dauda has been granted bail following his arrest for an alleged involvement in disturbances at a Voter registration centre at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region.
In an interview on Citi FM, the National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi disclosed that the MP was immediately released on bail following his arrest.
“He [Collins Dauda] was immediately granted bail. So he is currently on bail. The police say they are conducting their investigation, so he will hear from them. Honorable Collins Dauda was not present at the scene,”
“He was not there because he was busy in his constituency monitoring the registration process. It was surprising to us when the police issued that statement, implying that Collins Dauda had committed a crime when they knew he was not even at the scene when the incident occurred.”
