Akufo-Addo Gives Go Ahead For Kissi Agyebeng To Replace Martin Amidu As Special Prosecutor
President Akufo-Addo has given consent to the nomination of Kissi Agyebeng as the next Special Prosecutor following Martin Amidu’s resignation.
The President has consequently informed the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin to seek Parliament’s approval of the appointment.
A statement by the Communications Director at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin stated that President Akufo-Addo deems Mr. Kissi Agyebeng as being eminently qualified to become Special Prosecutor.
The statement added that the “President is hopeful that Parliament will expedite the confirmation process of Mr. Agyebeng, so he can assume the position without delay.”
