Minority leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has said that the NDC must allow a competitive process in the Party’s bid to elect a flagbearer to lead them in the 2024 election.
Many NDC stalwarts including MP for Odododiodio, Nii Lantei Vanderpuye, have said that the Party must let its 2020 flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama go unopposed.
However, Mr Haruna Iddrisu believes that would be an affront to the Party’s ideals.
According to him, even though he is certain in his mind that the Party’s delegates know whom to elect when the time comes, it is important that the Party employs the democratic approach.
Haruna Iddrisu said “those who want to guess will know who our next flagbearer will be but we should subject it to open declaration.
