VEEP Position Made Very Attractive Under Bawumia – Lecturer

A Political Science lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in the Central Region, Dr. Isaac Brako has insinuated that the Vice Presidential position has been made very attractive and interesting under Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking on Opemsuo FM, he said, “Since the inception of this forth Republic, Vice President Office and issues of running mate have been attractive and interesting under this government.”

He noted that running mates for Presidential candidates will have an impact in this year’s elections.

“Running mates are going to support their presidential candidates so Ghanaians will look at what they can offer should their party win,” he stated.

The two major political parties New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) both have been at each others throats ahead of the December polls.

NDC flagbearer, John Maham’s appointment of Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as running mate sees him battle President Akufo Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7.
