Tensions brewed at the internment of the NDC’s Deputy Bono East Regional Youth Organiser as his party’s supporters almost came to blows with that of the NPP.
The scuffle was as a result of a disagreement between the two fashions as to whose pallbearers will carry the body.
The NPP in an act of good will had planned to make its pallbearers carry the coffin as the deceased had relatives in the party but the gesture was rightly rejected by the NDC.
But after what would have escalated into a full blown fight if not for the presence of the Police at the funeral grounds at Kintampo Presby Park, calm was restored and the NDC had its way to transport the corpse to the cemetery.
