The National Democratic Congress, NDC in a Presser has enumerated some 631 promises purported to have been made by the New Patriotic Party, NPP in their 2016 manifesto of which only 88 were executed representing 14 per cent of the total Promises made.
The NPP in a quick rebuttal, calls the NDC’s procedure used to arrive at the 631 promises a complete intellectual dishonesty.
According to the NPP they made 388 promises in their 2016 Manifesto not 631.
As a result of that, NDC’s attempts at increasing their promises from 388 to 631 is only to give credence to their allegations of dishonesty against the NPP government.
The Minister of Information attributed NDC’s 14 per cent ratings to a ploy to downplay the achievements of the NPP Government and must be disregarded.
He continued to explain that, the NDC arrived at the 631 promises by adding the vision and the strategic frameworks detailed in the manifesto as promises made.
“This exercise of adding words from our vision and our strategic framework to increase the number of promises just so that the base will now become bigger is a complete dishonesty “.
