Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament for Assin Central, thinks the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration squandered taxpayer funds allocated to the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO).
According to him, the government was given the chance to industrialize the nation in order to create jobs for the kids but chose to take the simple route instead, which is what caused the high rate of youth unemployment in the nation.
“It’s concerning that the government would choose young people and put them in positions where they would be paid GHC 700 while doing nothing. To lower the number of young people without jobs, the government should have built enterprises that could have employed 20,000 permanent workers, the expert claimed.
Ghana, according to Kennedy Agyapong, need a lot of industries.
He declared that the development bank’s business model is flawed and that instead of commercial banks, local firms should be the ones receiving loans to expand.
Despite his shortcomings, he asserted that assertions that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has done nothing for the nation are false because his investments in one district and one plant are producing excellent results, and the nation will soon benefit from them.
