Mad Rush For Ghana Black Stars Coaching Job

Published

Several CVs of coaches interested in taking over the senior national football team, the Black Stars, have been sent to the Ghana Football Association.

On Wednesday, January 26, the GFA formally declared its decision to break ways with Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac.

Milovan’s dismissal “follows the receiving of the Technical Report from the Coach, the Medical Report, and the Management Committee Report following Ghana’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 tournament,” the FA stated in a statement.

After examining the three reports and consultations with important stakeholders, the Executive Council has decided to part ways with Coach Milovan Rajevac and restructure the Black Stars Management Committee.

Milovan Rajevac and the Management Committee have served the Association well, and the Association wishes them well in their future endeavors.”

With Ghana’s Black Stars set to face Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoffs in March, it would be intriguing to see who the GFA hires as a replacement for Milovan.

According to a source within the GFA, the organization has received over 100 applications from coaches interested in filling the empty position.
