Eastern Region Records 45 New Coronavirus Cases

Five districts in the Eastern Region have recorded forty five (45) new confirmed Coronavirus cases bringing the total regional count from 623 to 668.

New Juaben South record 20 of the cases, Nsawam Adoagyiri recorded 17, Birim Central had 5, Kwahu South had 5 and West Akim had 1.

Thirty seven percent, thus 248, of the total confirmed cases in the region represent health workers with 107 recovered and one death.

The top six Municipalities and Districts in the region are Kwahu West -195, Lower Manya 125, New Juaben South -75, Birim North-43, Nsawam Adoagyiri-40, and Birim South-28.

Ghana’s Covid-19 count as announced by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye announced on Tuesday stood at 17,741.

13,268 persons have recorded with 24 persons in critical and severe conditions and four on ventilators.

Ghana has 4,361 active cases as of June 30, 2020.
