Dan Botwe Bemoans Being Infected With Covid Despite Adhering to All Protocols



The Minister of Regional Reorganisation and Development and also the Member of Parliament for Okere, Dan Kwaku Botwe had narrated how despite following all the Covid protocols yet got infected with the deadly Coronavirus.

The Minister cum lawmaker said, he made sure to spray and disinfect papers, files and any tangible thing that came to his office but yet was infected with the disease which was a shock to him.

Hon. Dan Botwe was admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Center after suffering from some pneumonia-like symptoms. This had him being tested for the Coronavirus with and coming out with positive results.

Meanwhile the Minister had been discharged after treatment at the Hospital.

He said, when he started feeling unwell, he had not the least suspected it to be Coronavirus as he religiously followed the safety precautions.

“I didn’t suspect it was COVID…when I was going to UGMC I didn’t know I had COVID. To the best of my knowledge I followed all the COVID protocols but the fact that it could happen, we should continue to be extra careful…the precautions we took and this happened; it’s surprising.” the Hon. disclosed.

He advised Ghanaians to desist from the believe that, the virus only infected high profile personalities and that if despite all the precautionary measures taken he could still be infected, then all Ghanaians have to be cautious and ignore such believes.

He debunked rumors that he was dead and commended all front line workers for their selfless service in times like this.
