Lawmaker for Yapei Kusawgu, John Jinapor has cautioned Attorney General, Godfred Dame to be guided by his actions because he’ll not remain in his position forever.
This comes after Mr Dame threatened to make the CID investigate persons whose actions led to the $170 million judgement debt and be dealt with accordingly.
However, Mr Jinapor who doubles as the Ranking member on energy committee explained that the judgement debt came as a result of wrongful termination of the agreement and subsequent inability of government representatives to meet deadlines given by the London Commercial Court to file a challenge to claims made by GPGC.
He advised that Attorney General to be mindful of his actions and stop issuing threats because he won’t be in his position forever.
“You can choose to threaten us. You can choose to behave in any way you want because you’re the Attorney General. But let me put this on record to you. You will not be Attorney General forever,” Mr Jinapor intimated.
