Bawumia-Alan Faction Should Unite NPP – Opare-Ansah

Frederick Opare-Ansah, a general secretary aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party has said the Bawumia-Alan faction should not divide the party, but rather become a unifying factor for the NPP.

His comment comes on the back of warning by some party stalwarts that the Alan-Bawumia faction will end up creating a sharp division within the party ahead of the 2024 elections.https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-2753284703313861&output=html&h=280&adk=3343016698&adf=2184461763&pi=t.aa~a.96786927~i.5~rp.4&w=780&fwrn=4&fwrnh=100&lmt=1655826592&num_ads=1&rafmt=1&armr=3&sem=mc&pwprc=5246290107&psa=1&ad_type=text_image&format=780×280&url=https%3A%2F%2Fasaaseradio.com%2Fopare-ansah-bawumia-alan-faction-should-unite-npp%2F&fwr=0&pra=3&rh=195&rw=779&rpe=1&resp_fmts=3&wgl=1&fa=27&adsid=ChEI8NjFlQYQ4cbdl9j6wdeYARI9AI6IRTZf0dLBcWyZDuEBr80gNwy4fRuBs76uQi_mHlBljMloXAOV9kCXQ586R3ilzcO0O3W6SWlUlwhOcQ&uach=WyJXaW5kb3dzIiwiOC4wLjAiLCJ4ODYiLCIiLCIxMDIuMC41MDA1LjExNSIsW10sbnVsbCxudWxsLCI2NCIsW1siIE5vdCBBO0JyYW5kIiwiOTkuMC4wLjAiXSxbIkNocm9taXVtIiwiMTAyLjAuNTAwNS4xMTUiXSxbIkdvb2dsZSBDaHJvbWUiLCIxMDIuMC41MDA1LjExNSJdXSx0cnVlXQ..&dt=1655826514648&bpp=5&bdt=15598&idt=5&shv=r20220615&mjsv=m202206150101&ptt=9&saldr=aa&abxe=1&cookie=ID%3Dedde064f8308fd09-22eb5ee904d400b8%3AT%3D1655711643%3ART%3D1655711643%3AS%3DALNI_MatQdgMqLj3P8tFz7IU_obFGBFwTg&gpic=UID%3D00000916530bbfbf%3AT%3D1655711643%3ART%3D1655826509%3AS%3DALNI_MZWpi5CHUfUWJIZhXD_AP_QNnTd4g&prev_fmts=0x0&nras=2&correlator=5301752463008&frm=20&pv=1&ga_vid=184987063.1655711627&ga_sid=1655826514&ga_hid=1166009917&ga_fc=1&u_tz=0&u_his=1&u_h=720&u_w=1280&u_ah=690&u_aw=1280&u_cd=24&u_sd=1&dmc=4&adx=47&ady=1451&biw=1263&bih=587&scr_x=0&scr_y=0&eid=44759876%2C44759927%2C44759837%2C42531557%2C31068030%2C42531608%2C31062930&oid=2&pvsid=96304203104002&tmod=466663944&uas=0&nvt=1&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fasaaseradio.com%2F&eae=0&fc=1408&brdim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C1280%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C1280%2C587&vis=1&rsz=%7C%7Cs%7C&abl=NS&fu=128&bc=31&ifi=2&uci=a!2&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=cpwgdiERtg&p=https%3A//asaaseradio.com&dtd=77675

“Clearly, we are the party that was formed from all parts of this country. There was even a Muslim grouping that joined forces with us, so even on the religious front, we were the party that was formed by bringing all religions in the country together,” he said on The Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (21 June).

“So, this should not be a point of diversion for us, it should rather continue to strengthen us, and again we have had Busia, Danquah, Dombo and as you clearly indicate we had the Adu Boahen era, Kufuor era, and at every point in time we have had that kind of situation.

“But it hasn’t broken us apart, it hasn’t thorn our front as it probably seems to threaten us today. But for me, if you come to my constituency I have examples that abound. If I was successful in staying the course for 16 years, it was precisely because I made a conscious effort to include everybody in what I was doing,” Opare-Ansah said.
