Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah has resigned from her position following backlash from her domestic theft case.
The Minister has come under intense scrutiny from outside and within her own Party after she, together with her husband, dragged some of her domestic staff to Court for stealing millions of Ghana Cedis and Euros from her bedroom.
The public have been debating how come the Minister was able to stash such ridiculous amounts of money in her bedroom at a time when the country was struggling.
In her official resignation letter to the President, a copy of which has been sighted by this portal, Madam Abena Dapaah said even though she’s confident that the amounts being quoted in the public domain are not a reflection of the issues on the ground, she wishes to resign in order that her issue does not affect the work of government.
