Fifa Confirms South Africa Football Association’s Protest – Instructs GFA To Respond Immediately

World Football Governing body, FIFA has issued an official communication on the protest lodged by the South African Football Association.

SAFA is calling for a rematch of last sunday’s final preliminary world cup qualification game with Ghana.

According to the South African Football body, they have reasonable evidence to suspect that the match was fixed.

In a press conference held today, the South African goalkeeper and captain claimed that even before the match last Sunday, the referee told him that he will book him for time wasting.

In the communication issued by Fifa, the body confirmed receipt of the protest from SAFA and admonished the Ghana FA to respond if they wish before the matter is referred to the disciplinary committee.
