In a viral video currently circulating online, controversial MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and his lawyer, Afenyo Markin can be seen dancing to traditional music, as they apparently celebrate their victory at the Supreme Court today.
The Supreme Court removed a High Court Judge, Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni from presiding over a contempt case brought against the Assin Central MP.
The Court, in a judgement delivered on Wednesday by a 5-member panel, presided by Justice Baffoe-Bonnie ordered the registrar to assign a new judge to preside over the case.
Lawyers for the embattled Assin Central MP argued that the judge, Amos Wuntah Wuni, had demonstrated hostility towards their client. He specifically referred to the judge’s comment in court that ‘if you touch a live wire it will electrocute you.’
The maverick lawmaker was summoned before the court after comments he made on his privately owned Net2 TV Station were deemed to have impugned the reputation of the Court.
However, it appears the lawmaker, who was said to have suffered post-COVID complications has finally regained his full fitness as he is seen in a viral video dancing in jubilant mood with his lawyer and friend.
