A journalist with Accra FM, Kwabena Bobie Ansah has taken on President Akufo-Addo after it was alleged that he spent a whooping GH¢2.8 Million of taxpayers money on a private jet to his recent trips to France and Johannesburg to beg for cancellation of Africa’s debts.
This allegation was made by North Tongu legislator, Okudzeto Ablakwa in a Facebook post.
According to him, the president decided to rent an aircraft that cost the Ghanaian taxpayer £15,000 an hour.
He further added that the President left Accra for Paris on the 16th of May and then from Paris to Johannesburg and back to Accra on the 25th of May accumulating a total of 23 hours amounting to a colossal £345,000. At the current exchange, the amount totals GH¢2,828,432.80.
Speaking on the citizen show on Accra FM, Bobie Ansah said the private jet rented by Akufo-Addo had a luxuriuos bed on whic he could have slept throughout the trip to france.
Yet the President was captured on camera dozing at the event in France where he had used taxpayers money to fly a luxurious jet to beg.
The President in a video circulating on social media could be seen dozing off while the event was going on in France.
