The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has slammed the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for refusing to comment on the two persons who lost their lives in the recently-ended voters registration exercise.
According to Mr Asiedu Nketia, the President on various occasions has sought to commend the registration as the most peaceful in the history of Ghana’s democracy, but has refused to comment on the pockets of violence that were recorded in parts of the country.
“His Excellency has made several attempts to commend the peaceful nature of the registration exercise without mentioning a single act of violence during the exercise, including that which was perpetrated by his own appointee, which led to the killing of two innocent Ghanaians”. He said.
General Mosquito also slammed the President for immediately finding his voice to speak on the infamous ‘Akyem Sakawa’ comment while ignoring the various acts of violence perpetrated by his own party.
