Even A Few Cows Can Finish The Water In NPP’s So Called Dams – Mahama
Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said the dams the Akufo Addo led government have constructed are rather dugouts that are not fit for purpose.
Speaking at the Manwe Naa’s palace in the Upper West Region as part of his campaign tour, former president Mahama bemoaned the poor nature of the dams insisting even some few cows can finish the water in it.
According to him, these so called dams have only been a monumental waste of taxpayers’ money.
“The promises sounded very good and Ghanaians said let’s give them a try. Today the dams that they talked about are dugouts, they are not even proper dugouts because most of our dugouts are able to keep water during the dry season.
“These dugouts when the Minority went to inspect them in January-February most of them were dry…So the one-village one-dam has been a monumental waste of taxpayers’ money,” he stated.

Election 2020
EC Lawyers File Preliminary Legal Objection – Claims Akufo-Addo Won The Election Even If Mahama’s Own Figures In His Petition Are Used
The Electoral Commission says the petition filed by 2020 NDC Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama is based on “extreme speculations” and an actual waste of the court’s time.
The Commission explains these speculations thrive on the existence of two wrong assumptions.
This is the decision by Mr. Mahama to hold on to the wrong figure mentioned as valid votes (13,434,574) even though the right figure is known.
The other assumption the EC says is the flagbearer’s determination to strangely assign all the Techiman South votes to himself even though the actual results were known to him at the time he decided to file the petition.
The EC however insists the Chairperson’s inadvertent mistake made during declaration did not change how Ghanaians voted on December 7.
It states that the 13,434,574 mentioned as total valid votes is an error.
Nana Akufo-Addo, the EC says obtained 6,730,413 representing more than 50% of the 13,121,111 valid votes (specifically 51.295%).
The EC further argues in this document that the petition fails to disclose how the alleged vote padding influenced the outcome of the elections.
The EC concludes that the petition does not merit a trial and is a total waste of the court’s time.

‘Hungry’ Anyidoho Has Become A Political Judas In The NDC – Eric Adjei
Bono Regional Deputy Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei has admonished the party’s former Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, for his continuous attacks against the NDC.
Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Eric Adjei noted that Anyidoho cannot be allowed to continue to speak against the party without facing any sanctions. To him, though it is “normal” to be friends with those on the other side of the political divide, it is not an opportunity to work against.
“Koku Anyidoho cannot continue speaking ill of the NDC. In this country, we are all politicians and some cannot stand hunger; we have some politicians who can’t stand being in opposition and so when his party is voted out of power, he finds a way to enjoy its trappings with the other party in government,” he was quoted by peacefmonline.
“We have friends in NPP and in CPP but the fact that I have friends in other political parties cannot and must not influence my decisions; it can never influence what I have to do to make my party come back to power.”
“….the NDC members are saying that you (Koku) are becoming a Political Judas in the party; if he does not know, we are telling him”, he chided.

If You’re Not Ready For Your Own Petition Don’t Start – Gabby Pokes Mahama
New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has told National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to hold his peace if he’s not ready for the trial of his own case in the ongoing 2020 Presidential election petition.
This comes after Mahama ,through his legal team, filed for stay of proceedings of the Election Petition at the Supreme Court, praying the court to halt hearing on the main Election Petition until a determination is made on his request for review of an earlier determination by the Court.
Reacting to this on twitter, Gabby called out the former President to stop employing delay tactics in the trial and halt the whole process if he is not ready.
If you are not ready for the trial of your own case please don’t start! A plaintiff, applicant or petitioner who uses or manner of delay tactics, is that one too a litigant with a cause?,” he wrote on Twitter.
John Mahama and the NDC are in court challenging the results of the 2020 Presidential polls.
He maintains that neither he nor President Akufo-Addo attained a clear majority during the polls because of the omission of the Techiman South constituency from the declaration of results.
