Stop The Manhyia Insults Or Face Legal Action – Asanteman Groups
Members of Asanteman Europe and Asanteman North America (the USA and Canada) have condemned insults directed at Manhyia on social media.
The groups, in a joint statement, said such attacks and insults on the good people of Ashanti globally, are baseless and without provocation.
The statement signed by Press Secretary Isaac Osei Tutu (Asanteman Council of North America US & Canada) and Press Officer Isaac Adu (Asanteman Europe Association) condemned the practice in unreserved terms and advised the perpetrators to desist from their actions because they tend to create trouble in the country.
The groups also condemned what they called ” the insensitivity and preposterity on social media and advised that social media should be used to promote peace and stability and not conflicts.
The diasporans, however, warned that if insults at Manhyia and Otumfuo are not stopped, they would have no option but take legal action against the perpetrators of such evil deeds.
According to them, they would not sit unconcerned to allow a few disgruntled persons to ferment chaos through their unguided and primitive actions.
The groups also pledged their unflinching support for Manhyia and their preparedness to defend Manhyia against these naked insults by some irresponsible individuals,
who might be doing that out of ignorance.
It also reminded these individuals of the known fact that Manhyia is noted for peace.
