‘Stop Discussing Party Matters On Radio’ – Justin Kodua Warns Abronye

The New Patriotic Party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, has warned the party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, against making negative remarks against the government in the media.

Justin Kodua is fed up with Abronye‘s incessant bastardization of the administration and cry of neglect, and wants him to stop before the party strikes.

Speaking on Okay FM, Justin Kodua expressed concern that Abronye has turned to the media to air his problems despite the fact that the party has institutions in place to resolve such matters.

He warned Abronye not to make any further comments, claiming that he is not the only member of the party who has been denied a job or a contract by the government.

Justin Kodua recommended all party members to address their concerns using the established structures and procedures.

“When you’re appointed as a leader, you hear a lot of things. There will be problems, but you must not let your emotions cloud your judgment or you will say something you will later regret.

Abronye is a Regional chair and knows the party’s structures and constitution so you don’t have to wash our dirty linen in public. If you have a problem, use the structures rather than going on the radio. We will not tolerate such conduct. What he is doing is wrong, and we must inform him of this.

“We have our reservations about one thing or the other but as long as we are in government, there is the possibility that your issue may be addressed. If we all decide to run to the media and talk about our issues, would you the media be able to contain us? He is a regional chairman so he should act accordingly. I don’t believe in us coming on the radio every day”, he said.

Abronye has repeatedly criticized the administration on Okay FM and, more specifically, Oman FM, stating that certain people who helped the party gain power have been alienated from the government.

Abronye stated in September of this year that he regrets playing in support of and advocating for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Abronye stated during a panel discussion on Hot FM that he was duped into supporting Nana Akufo-Addo and will not rush to declare support for any of the flagbearer candidates.
