Professor Jane Naana Suspends Her Campaign Tour To Join Mahama In Addressing Voter’s Register Concerns

The running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has suspended her campaign tour to join the flagbearer, John Mahama in Accra as they to seek to address the Press on concerns of missing names in the voter’s register.

A statement released by the spokesperson and head of communications for the NDC running mate, Mawuena Trebarh said the decision is a National decision taken in consultation with the Flagbearer who has also suspended his campaign activities.

The Statement reads,

“Effective close of day today, the Running Mate will suspend her campaign tour of the Central Region. There are a number of reasons for that.

However, it is a national decision taken in consultation with the Flagbearer who has also suspended his campaign activities. effective today. Details will be given tomorrow by the Flagbearer and the Party.”

Professor Jane Naana had taken her campaign tour to her home region, the Central Region where she was until this decision.

The NDC has claimed that several of their members have complained about their names being missing from the voter’s register; a claim the EC has denied.
